The NORTH HAS OUT SMARTED THE NIGER DELTA over the PETROLEUM INDUSTRY BILL (PIB). PIB is dead and buried, why? Because DANGOTE a NORTHERNER is now building a GIGANTIC PRIVATE REFINERY AND FERTILIZER PLANT IN LAGOS. The CRUDE OIL AND GAS for THE REFINERY would be PUMPED FROM THE NIGER DELTA TO LAGOS.
The PETROLEUM INDUSTRY BILL (PIB) was meant to open up THE DOWNSTREAM SECTOR OF THE OIL & GAS INDUSTRY in the NIGER DELTA through building of REFINERIES AND ALLIED OIL AND GAS ECONOMIC ACTIVITIES to drive economic activities in the region. But for so many years the NORTH have kicked against allowing the PIB to SEE THE LIGHT OF THE DAY.
In line with their agenda of DEPRIVING the NIGER DELTA REGION AND PEOPLE of access to and benefit of the oil & gas wealth, they have now used DANGOTE TO KILL the PIB BILL by conniving with the YORUBAS for this GIGANTIC REFINERY to be built in LAGOS.

Why LAGOS? Who would be the beneficiaries of this project? How does the NIGER DELTA PEOPLE benefit from this project in terms of employment, contracting and the likes?
THE NORTHERNERS CALL LAGOS THE NEUTRAL GROUND for marginalizing the NIGER DELTA. ALL IMPORTATION OF PETROLEUM PRODUCTS COME TO LAGOS, ALL IMPORTS COMES TO LAGOS. PORTS IN THE NIGER DELTA ARE COMATOS, WHY? THE PEOPLE OF THE NIGER DELTA MUST BE SUBDUED AND PREVENTED FROM HAVING MAJOR ACCESS TO THE MARINE, OIL & GAS WEALTH.
What they do is to flood NIGER DELTA with SOLDIERS. WHY FLOOD NIGER DELTA WITH SOLDIERS IF NIGERIA(GOVT OF NORTHERNERS) are doing the right thing?
THIS INJUSTICE IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Here is DANGOTE's statement about this project:
''Our target is that in the next five years or so from now, we hope and we believe that half of Nigeria’s crude will be refined and exported rather than just exporting crude to go and create jobs elsewhere,” Mr. Dangote said. This NORTHERN CONSPIRACY is the foundation for CORRUPTION in NIGERIA today. It's the foundation for the mentality of government is no man's business so just collect your own when you can.

This INJUSTICE is the reason why those in position of power/leadership in the NIGE DELTA who knows and sees the enormous wealth of the NIGER DELTA in the possession of NORTHERNERS and a few YORUBAS follow suit to grab whatever allocation that comes to the NIGER DELTA.
Can anyone tell me how governors and people in positions from other regions of NIGERIA are different from those of the NIGER DELTA?
