We
all know that Peace is not the absence of war. Sincerely speaking, the High
Command of the Niger Delta Avengers cannot be blamed for the continuous bombing
of crude oil export pipelines and other oil installations, since the Government
has been relentlessly carrying out military build ups to continuously harass
communities and indigenes of the Niger Delta after the November 1st meeting of
the PANDEF and President Muhammadu Buhari. We see this as a deliberate move by
the military establishment to undermine any effort of dialogue and negotiations
with the people of the Niger Delta.
The
path to sustain the cessation of hostilities in the region among fighters and
structures cannot be achieved overnight, when there are clear cases of
deliberate security surge by the Nigerian government. We ask for understanding on the side of the
PANDEF and the general public. The High Command of the NDA is only reacting to
government’s deliberate attempts to undermine the process to dialogue and
negotiations. It will make a lot of sense on the part of the government of
president Muhammadu Buhari to restrain
the security agents/agencies from engaging in activities that are inimical to
the process, the people and communities of the Niger Delta. There was high hope
and expectations from the people of the Niger Delta after the November 1st
meeting between PANDEF and President Muhammadu Buhari for a genuine dialogue
and negotiations process to kick-start. Instead the government's security
establishment is busy building up clogs to the process that will place our
people at position of weakness which is unacceptable to us and so, there is bound to be
equal reaction.
The
idea of communicating with our fathers, leaders and royal fathers under the
leadership of Papa Edwin Kiagbodo Clark’s PANDEF before acting will only amount
to mere propaganda while the head is
being cut off. We believed that our fathers, leaders and royal fathers are
ready to meet the government of Nigeria with representatives of IOCs and the
neutral observers but not with guns, warships and jet fighters terrorizing
their communities which of course is one of the sixteen points key demands
presented to Mr. President, So the government should stop the ostrich game.
We
did not start this struggle for the sake of bearing arms against the Nigeria state;
it is a reaction to many years of orchestrated state economic and
constitutional colonialism against a region and its people over six decades.
Until the burning issues of resources control, fiscal federalism and inclusive
development are addressed no force will stop this struggle even with bare hands.
The government of Nigeria is running against time by undermining the resolve of
the Niger Delta. The government needs the Niger Delta more than we need the
government.
A
careful analysis of the directive by general Muhammadu Buhari, to the security
agencies to identify militant leaders and their camps shows that, the man do not
have any sense of history and apology for the roles he played in the killing of
innocent civilians and Ken Saro Wiwa in Ogoni that were carrying out a peaceful
protest in 1995. President Muhammadu
Buhari should think before he act on this his fifth journey into national
affairs. Those obnoxious strategies like Choke Points, Operations Delta Safe,
Operations Crocodiles Smiles etc, are doomed to fail like Operations Hakuri II,
he engineered and administered under general Sani Abacha. Even the security
hierarchy is also sympathizing with his inhuman dispositions to the Niger Delta
question. That is more of the reasons the High Command of the DNA has given the
clear directive to all field officers to avoid confrontation with security
agencies in their line of duty.
The
everyday deployment of military hardwares, houseboat, personnel etc is a
dilemma of government insensitivity and incapacity to the legitimate demands by
the Niger Delta people since 1994 under general Sani Abacha.
The
Niger Delta struggle is the people's project. So, the more groups that are
involved the more the festivity. There will be no cold war with any group and
groupings no matter the circumstances of their emergence and their modus
operandi.

ReplyDeleteWe have no confidence in the so-called PAPA CLARK & Co Niger Delta Elders Association because they think only for themselves and their ilk and have only proved to us the Niger Delta Youths, that they are just another SELL OUT again in this so-called MEETING that has yielded no single positive response from the government but an intensifying of military activities in the Niger Delta in preparation of a full scale military action instead.
That is what is called a DIPLOMATIC SLAP IN THE FACE of Clark by Buhari who has no intention of handing over any OIL BLOCK to anyone outside his own Hausa-Fulani cohorts.
The NDA is more and more sounding “grammatically” like MEND the “traitor” and it makes us to begin to wonder whether they too have been “bought” over, because even the blind can see that Buhari has no intention of considering their so-called “16 Point Demand” let alone implementing it. So we hope that NDA can see thru the futility of their effort to negotiate and go back to the drawing board and re-strategize as other “smart” freedom fighters are already doing. For that will give them the psychological edge and moral high ground that will cause all Niger Delta youths to rally to join their ranks, when the inevitable and eventual renewal of hostilities escalates into a full scale war, because they are TRIED & TRUSTED freedom fighters.
Why go out of your way to INSTRUCT your operatives to avoid attacking the same military that is INSTRUCTED to kill you and your people at the slightest opportunity. That is “Battlefield Foolishness” of the highest order and it will inevitably lead to your defeat. Take it or leave it!
Nonetheless, if NDA is tired and backing out they should do so quietly and honorably instead of towing the line of COWARDLY elders like Clark & Co. who calls our brave FREEDOM FIGHTERS fighting for their land and birthright CRIMINALS, that the real CRIMINALS in the federal government he is negotiating with, stole from us. With all due respect accorded to elders, this bunch “senile elders” are a shame and disgrace to Niger Deltans and the only reason that Buhari is even bothering to talk with them is because the people he calls CRIMINALS are fighting for their birth-right that they sold away to the northerners and westerners for “peanuts” in the first instance. Because he and his cowardly generation in their days were too scared to fight for their rights unlike the “Lion Hearted” Saro Wiwa who fought until the bitter end.
Anyway let Buhari keep talking to the “wrong people” who have no control whatsoever of what the “right people” are doing in the creeks as it will all come to nought. Maybe Clark assured Buhari that the agtieved and agitating youths are under his CONTROL that is why he is busy blasting those Freedom Fighters that are still agitating for FREEDOM in spite of his FAKE peace talk that has yielded ZERO result, which we the Niger Delta youths have no part or portion with.
We will soon see what these “misfit elders” will say when other Freedom Fighters still waiting on the sidelines to join the party eventually do and start “showing” their own skills in the “Arena of Conflict”. Let Buhari keep talking with the “wrong people” and keep ignoring the “right people” who will eventually TAKE OUR OIL BLOCK AWAY FROM NIGERIA by every means necessary sooner rather than later in a matter of months not years. Especially as we now have an Anti Islamic Terrorism President of America in the person of Donald Trump.
Ofcourse the good news as regards the negotiations is that it is on record that the PATH OF PEACE was presented to Buhari but he chose the PATH OF WAR instead, just like it was with Gadaffi before his untimely demise.

Also we advocate that the “alleged” $500 million UNLAWFULLY donated by Buhari (the president of a foreign nation) to the Clinton presidential campaign funds should be properly investigated as soon as he assumes power.
In addition we campaign for the full fledge international investigation and prosecution of Buhari and his military aides for the incessant acts of genocide and crimes against humanity that he has committed both past and present against the Nigerian people during the 2011 post election violence that took 1000 lives, and the 2015 Zaria Shite-Massacre that took 800 lives and the ongoing Eastern Biafra-Massacre that has so far taken hundreds of lives.
We believe that it is because President Obama has been protecting and shielding Buhari his Moslem brother from international arrest and prosecution that has encouraged him to continue killing the people he was elected to protect. The advent of President Trump’s zero-tolerance towards Islamic terrorism, bigotism and despotism should ensure that Buhari is brought to TRIAL at the International Criminal Court as soon as possible.

Unlike other comments, I would advise refraining from injuring or killing any people whenever possible. Once you cross the line to killing people for your cause, it is much easier to label you a terrorist rather than a freedom fighter. Getting a president to negotiate with you, without having killed any human beings, is a major accomplishment and the first step to the successful, yet peaceful, resolution to the conflict. Killing in the pursuit of riches from a physical substance will only label you as pariahs.

He's breaking campaign promises on a daily basis, and is a salesman who only made promises he thought people wanted to hear, so they would vote for him. Nobody knows what he will really do. ReplyDeleteIf we (Niger Deltans) must remain part of Nigeria then the Nigerian constitution MUST be amended to include rotational presidency among the regions of Nigeria that guarantees that a Niger Deltan will become President and an Igbo or any other tribe has a chance of leading the nation. The present structure favours only the North and the West who always collude in elections thus making it practically impossible for a Niger Deltan to become President except you first become Vice President and pray or hope that the President should die.
